But a Type 1 Diabetes diagnosis brought new challenges - healthcare costs, work instability now became deep fears of my survival and health. After a decade of performing onstage locally in Chicago, I chose to give up acting to pursue a degree in finance... safety and stability.
I came into this career with patience. I got a business degree while taking acting as a minor. I became an investment banker because it paid well and was cyclical. It was a two-year plan to save as much as possible so I could dive into acting fully and put all my effort into what I love most.
Now, I can confidently say that I am a professional actor. I have training in stage acting, improv, and on-camera acting at Stella Adler (LA), Second City (Chicago), Indiana University, and University of Michigan. I work to learn something new each month. Next on my list - cooking and baking.
I am local hire in all of the following cities:
Chicago, IL | Los Angeles, CA | New York, NY
There is nowhere to better connect to the world around me than within a character. I work to bring sincere realism to all the characters I portray. Every comedian has some depth to explore, and every dramatist can find levity in life.
